Today I’m Playing: Doki Doki Literature Club Part 1 (Before I Start)

First things first, I learned about this game though a webcomic (My Giant Nerd Boyfriend, it’s adorable go read it). After looking in to it and having a very close friend (who is in no way an otaku, but a huge gamer) mention it and ask if I had played it. I knew I had to play it. A Timeless Vampire That Still Entertains

Vampire Hunter D, Banpaia Hantā Dī in Japanesewas first published in 1983. It was written by Hideyuki Kikuchi, who has written a plethora of horror novels, and illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano, who is an artist, character designer, illustrator and a theater and film scenic designer and costume designer. There are 26 Vampire Hunter D novels, yes you read that right, 26. Since the release the light novel series has spawned; two animated movies, five audio dramas, a video game, a manga adaptation of the series, and multiple cross overs in to American comics. There is also an animated tv show in the works and talks of a live action film.

A Good Dark Cute Zombie Manga?

Sankarea: Undying Love first came out in 2009 and ran till 2014. It has 11 volumes. The manga was written  and illustrated by Mitsuru Hattori. The manga has spawned a 13 episode anime with three OVAs and a light novel titled Sankarea: All Night-Rea Long.

And I Thought, This was About Zombies

Warning this post talk about fan service, a lot of fan service. There is just so much. Any way, High School of the Dead, is based of the manga by the same name. The manga was written by Daisuke Satō and illustrated by Shōji Satō (who by the way is mainly a hentai artist, which explains a lot about this manga. I looked him up, you know for research reasons).  The series first came out in 2006 and ran till 2013. It is currently on hiatus and does not have a date in which it wall be starting again. Along with this anime there is also an OVA that came out in 2011 a year after this anime finished.

Tomie: Another Face is a three part mini series based on the manga series, Tomie, by Junji Ito. Who is a noted horror manga artist. The mini series came out in 1999. It stared Runa Nagai as Tomi.
